USA vs. Colombia lineups

The new faces are the old faces.

Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

Since the United States men’s national team can no longer win Copa America, fans were hoping Jurgen Klinsmann would introduce some new faces, get them experience, and try something new. They will not get that at all. Darlington Nagbe, Christian Pulisic, Perry Kitchen and Steve Birnbaum remain out of the lineup.

All of Bobby Wood, Jermaine Jones and Alejandro Bedoya come back into the team to face Colombia in the third place game after being suspended for the semifinal. Tim Howard, Matt Besler and Michael Orozco have also come into the team, with Brad Guzan, John Brooks and Fabian Johnson being rested for this game. Otherwise, it’s the same USMNT you’ll recognize from the rest of the tournament.

How Besler and Orozco line up is anyone’s guess. Both have played center back and left back for the national team recently and could play either position on Saturday night.

United States starting lineup (4-4-2): Tim Howard; Michael Orozco, Matt Besler, Geoff Cameron, DeAndre Yedlin; Gyasi Zardes, Jermaine Jones, Michael Bradley, Alejandro Bedoya; Clint Dempsey, Bobby Wood

Colombia starting lineup (4-2-3-1): David Opsina; Frank Fabra, Cristian Zapata, Jeison Murillo, Santiago Arias; Guillermo Celis, Daniel Torres; James Rodriguez, Edwin Cardona, Juan Cuadrado; Carlos Bacca

Kickoff is just after 8 p.m. ET on FX and Univision.
