The Euro 2016 round of 16 marches on, and it's bringing us one of the more intriguing matchups of the tournament so far, with European powerhouses Germany squaring off against the slowly rising star of Slovakia. Germany have been tough to stop with their tour de force of talent, but Slovakia's smart tactics and a style that plays to their strengths might just be able to cause them enough problems to knock the defending World Cup champions out of the tournament.

It’s going to be a tough mountain for Marek Hamsik and company to climb, but they’ve got the ability to withstand a lot of defensive pressure while playing a patient attacking game to exploit any mistakes Germany might make. They’re not going to make a lot of mistakes, though, so Slovakia will have to do their best not to make too many mistakes of their own so that Germany don’t have openings of their own to exploit.
