The Jose Mourinho era at Manchester United got off to a bright start with a win in their first match of the Premier League season, and now it's time for his Old Trafford debut. Mourinho and company are set for a date with Southampton, and a win over one of the underdog darlings of the EPL would be a great way for Manchester to start building some early-season momentum.

It’s hard to deny how impressive Manchester were in their first match, hitting on pretty much every cylinder en route to a 3-1 win over Bournemouth. Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored in his debut, they got a goal out of Wayne Rooney and Henrikh Mkhitaryan was impressive off the bench. Even Eric Bailly, a new signing for the back line, was solid despite being an element many weren’t certain would fit with Mourinho right off the bat. But Southampton are a couple of steps up in terms of competitive level compared to the Cherries, so this will be a good test to see just how far Manchester have come so far.
