While many are focused on the exploits of Manchester United with their new super-powered squad, it might be the season their opponents in this match have had that's more worthy of headlines. That's because, despite all the odds, despite everything stacked against them, Hull City have won their first two matches of the season, and won them in fairly impressive fashion.
Manchester United vs. Hull City 2016 live stream: Time, TV schedule and how to watch online
Can Manchester United make it three wins in a row against the team that’s surprised their way to two wins of their own?

Hull came into this season in turmoil, with ownership that has done little to help the team despite earning promotion, and with their manager resigning basically in protest about it not long before the season. Even with all that working against them, though, Hull beat defending champions Leicester City and Swansea in their first two matches, with an impressive League Cup triumph over Exeter City thrown in for good measure. Already comparisons to Leicester’s miracle run to the title are being made, and while such comparisons are wildly premature, just the fact that they’re being made shows how far above expectations Hull have performed so far.
But now they could be facing a buzzsaw to those early triumphs in the form of Manchester United. Jose Mourinho’s new team has been incredibly impressive thanks in large part to their star-studded summer acquisitions, Zlatan Ibrahimovic especially. All that talent on the field might be too much for Hull to easily handle, leaving the Tigers unable to cope with what they’re facing. It’s going to be interesting to see how this plays out, if only for the fascinating way the beginning of the season has gone so far.
