Manchester City vs. Tottenham 2017 live stream: Time, TV schedule, and how to watch online

Can Spurs heap the pressure on Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola?

Things haven't gone to plan for Manchester City so far this season, with the Blues down in fifth place after last weekend's humiliating 4-0 defeat away at Everton. They'll find it difficult to get back to winning ways on Saturday, when they play host to the Premier League's form team, Tottenham Hotspur. More dropped points would, of course, only heap the pressure on City boss Pep Guardiola.

Spurs head into this match having leapfrogged Liverpool into second place. They're only seven points adrift of league leaders Chelsea, and Mauricio Pochettino's side are looking like very serious title contenders. Seven consecutive wins in all competitions has ensured confidence is high at White Hart Lane, and they'll fancy their chances of dismantling a fragile City at the Etihad.

Three big things to know

1. City's recent poor form hasn't been helped by absences of a couple of important midfielders: Ilkay Gündogan is out for the rest of the season with a knee injury, while Fernandinho is still suspended. Vincent Kompany and Fernando will both have to pass late fitness tests before they're allowed to play.

2. Spurs are looking comparatively salubrious: their only confirmed absentee is defender Jan Vertonghen, who is sidelined for the next six weeks after picking up an ankle injury in Spurs' thrashing of West Brom. Their only other early concern is Erik Lamela, who is doubtful with a hip problem.

3. Spurs have won three straight matches against City, including the reverse fixture at White Hart Lane back in October. On that occasion an Aleksandar Kolarov own goal combined with a Dele Alli strike to give Pochettino's men a comfortable 2-0 victory. The damage would've been greater, had Lamela not squandered a penalty kick. It was Spurs' third consecutive penalty miss against City.
