The fourth round of the FA Cup is in full swing, and the leaders of the Premier League are in action against a team rather far below them in the English pyramid. Chelsea are starting to run away at the top of the EPL table, and they’re set to host mid-table Championship side Brentford as they look to walk into the fifth round.

On form, there’s no contest. Chelsea have won their last three matches and given up just one goal across them, while Brentford have lost their last two matches and won just two of their last seven. Between that and the huge gulf in talent levels between the two teams, there’s little reason to expect that Brentford will mount much of a challenge.

Of course, there’s always the chance that Antonio Conte over-rotates his side, that Chelsea get too relaxed and confident, that Brentford plays out of their minds and stuns the team on top of the English pyramid. That’s the beloved Magic Of The Cup, after all, and it’s something that comes up every year. Maybe, hopefully, we see some of that magic in this match, because it’s always fun to see the little teams topple the giants.
