Liverpool vs. Plymouth Argyle 2017: Start time, live stream, TV schedule, and 3 things to know

Liverpool start their FA Cup campaign at home to Plymouth Argyle on Sunday, with Jürgen Klopp's men surely expecting a comfortable victory. The Merseysiders may have had their confidence knocked by a 2-2 draw with relegation strugglers Sunderland in the Premier League on Monday, though they should have more than enough to see off their fourth-tier opponents this weekend.

Plymouth are currently mounting a promotion charge in League Two, but they’re still plying their trade on the lowest rung of English professional football. They’d do well to achieve anything other than a heavy defeat away at Anfield. Expect manager Derek Adams to pack men behind the ball and hope that Plymouth can nick it on the counter-attack.

Three big things to know

1. Liverpool will be without Danny Ings and Cameron Brannagan, while a whole host of other first teamers are in doubt. Among them are Philippe Coutinho, Joël Matip, Jordan Henderson, Daniel Sturridge and James Milner. It would be a surprise if any featured on Sunday.

2. Plymouth will look to take full advantage of Liverpool's enforced rotation, with Derek Adams expected to field a full-strength side at Anfield.

3. Liverpool goalkeeping legend Bruce Grobbelaar is one of several players to have turned out for both clubs, having spent a short stint with the Pilgrims after departing Merseyside. Another player to wear both shirts is Tommy Tynan, who is widely regarded as Argyle’s greatest ever player.
