Barcelona vs. Sporting Lisbon 2017 live stream: Time, TV schedule, and how to watch Champions League online

Just one point is all Barcelona needs to tie up Group D.

Group D in the Champions League hasn’t really gone how many people expected it, and going into the final matchday there’s actually still plenty up for grabs. Barcelona are the only team guaranteed to advance to the knockout stages so far, and with Sporting Lisbon coming to Spain with their eye on the group’s other qualifying spot, there’s an entertaining game to be had at the Camp Nou.

Barcelona need just one point out of this match to make sure that they win the group, which is a very comfortable place to be in. Where the potential drama in this match comes in is the battle for second place — Sporting Lisbon are one point behind current second-place holders Juventus, and if they can somehow pull out an upset win here and if Juventus drop points against Olympiakos in Greece, they’d book their ticket to the knockout rounds while Juventus head to the Europa League.

Of course, that’s a huge ask. Sporting have won four matches in a row, yes, but they barely looked able to stop Barcelona in a 1-0 defeat in Portugal earlier in the group stage. They’re better now than they were then, and Barcelona are without a few key players, but it just doesn’t seem likely that Sporting are going to pull off the upset.

But hope is what this sport is about, and a lot of people are still going to watch this match hoping that dream pays off.

Barcelona are still dealing with some pretty major injury issues, with Andres Iniesta and Samuel Umtiti joining a list long anchored by Javier Mascherano, Ousmane Dembele, and Rafinha. Sporting Lisbon are in relatively good health comparitively, with just Jonathan Silva and Seydou Doumbia out of the squad for this match.
