Manchester United have been struggling outside the top four for quite a while now, with fits of form both good and poor keeping them from ever taking full advantage of their rivals’ periodic struggles. This weekend, though, they have a chance to do just that — with both Arsenal and Liverpool in poor form ahead of them, Manchester United have a chance to pass both teams with a win over Watford and finish the weekend in fourth place.

There’s a lot that has to go right for Manchester to get to that place, however — Arsenal has to lose, Liverpool has to drop points, and of course, they have to beat Watford. The Hornets have been in excellent form of late, though, with Walter Mazzarri’s side unbeaten in four matches and holding a recent win over Arsenal on the road to help propel them. Jose Mourinho’s team can’t just assume they’ll beat Watford because they’re Manchester freaking United — they’re going to have to earn every bit of the result if they’re going to get the three points they need.
