It’s time to return to the final, Hex round of World Cup qualifying in CONCACAF, with two teams set to square off in the Caribbean hoping to improve their respective causes for their efforts to head to Russia in 2018. Trinidad & Tobago are hosting Panama, not a matchup many would typically be excited for -- but it’s one that could have big effects on the standings before the end of the Hex.
Trinidad & Tobago vs. Panama, 2018 World Cup qualifier: Game time, TV schedule, and live stream
Trinidad & Tobago would dearly love to get out of the basement of CONCACAF World Cup qualifying, but Panama are hoping to put a firmer hold on one of the top three Hex spots.

Panama have gotten off to a solid start with four points in their first two matches, though those results only have them in third place right now behind Costa Rica and Mexico. Still, they’re in good shape coming into Friday’s match, and with two teams still yet to win a single point in qualifying — including Trinidad & Tobago — a win here would give them seven huge points and a commanding presence in the standings that will be tough to get past any time soon.
Trinidad & Tobago will be hoping to get their first points, though, and they don’t have an unreasonable chance of doing so — their ability to hit hard and fast on the counter should not be overlooked, and they definitely have the ability to cut Panama up. The question in whether they can lies in their ability to execute their game plan, and that’s been a major problem for the Soca Warriors over the last couple of years.
