Germany are cruising through World Cup qualifying in Europe, and as they prepare to hit the halfway point during their qualifying group in Sunday’s match against Azerbaijan, they could all but get their spot at Russia in 2018 secured.
Germany vs. Azerbaijan, 2018 World Cup qualifier: Game time, TV schedule, and live stream
Germany are hoping to all but cement their place in the 2018 World Cup with a win in Azerbaijan.

Through their first four group matches, Germany are absolutely perfect. They’ve won all four, have yet to give up a single goal, and have scored 16 goals. That’s an impressive record in a group that’s more difficult than it might appear at first glance, and they definitely appear to be on a path to early, and easy, qualification.
But Azerbaijan have been showing in this group stage that they’re not the pushovers they once were. They’ve been playing smarter, tougher football during qualifying, and the results are showing their improvement. They’ve earned seven points so far in qualifying, sitting in third place in the group and providing a much sterner challenge than anyone expected, including a big win over a strong side in Norway in their one home match of the group so far. They’re not going to go down easily, even to Germany, and that means this should be a fun match.
