Barcelona vs. Celta de Vigo 2017: Time, TV schedule, and how to watch online

Barcelona head into the weekend a point and a place clear of Real Madrid at the top of the La Liga table, but they'd once again be overtaken if their El Clásico rivals win their game in hand. That means Barça can ill afford any slips if they're to stay in title contention, including this weekend's potential banana skin clash with Celta Vigo.

Celta have enjoyed a reasonably successful season so far and find themselves sitting comfortably in mid-table with 14 games remaining. A run of good results could yet see them climb into contention for a Europa League finish; they currently sit seven points adrift of the top six with a game in hand.

Three big things to know

1. Barcelona will be without defenders Aleix Vidal and Jérémy Mathieu, though Luis Enrique should otherwise have a full-strength team available.

2. Celta de Vigo will be without suspended centre-back Andreu Fontàs, who started his career with Barça. Nemanja Radoja and Pablo Hernández both face late fitness tests.

3. Celta beat Barça in a spectacular reverse fixture back in October. They went three up in the first half, only for Barça to score twice early in the second. Hernández netted a fourth with just over 10 minutes left, ensuring Gerard Piqué‘s late strike was nothing more than a consolation.
