Borussia Dortmund vs. Benfica 2017 live stream: Start time, TV schedule, and how to watch online

Dortmund have some work to do if they’re going to advance to the quarterfinals.

Things didn’t go exactly to plan for Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of their Champions League tie with Benfica, losing 1-0 in Portugal. That’s hardly an insurmountable lead, but it means that they’ll have to get a lot of work done at the Signal Iduna Park on Wednesday if they’re going to win and advance to the quarterfinals.

They certainly have the talent to get the job done, and their form since losing to Benfica is without question. Dortmund have won each of the three games in the weeks since the first leg of this tie, in a combined scoreline of 12-2, with two clean sheets. Their last game was a 6-2 romp over Bayer Leverkusen, including three goals in the final 15 minutes of the match just as it looked like Leverkusen were going to mount a comeback.

Benfica have a hard fight in store to overcome that kind of form on the road, though they’re hardly suffering for form themselves. They’ve won seven straight, including their first-leg win over Dortmund, but their record since that match isn’t quite as strong. They’ve scored seven goals in four matches since then, with two goals allowed — certainly not a bad record by any means, but against the white-hot form of Dortmund, they will have to step things up several notches to guarantee a victory.

To watch this match online in the United States, you can stream it on the Fox Soccer 2GO subscription service, or depending on your internet provider you can watch for free on Fox Sports Go. In Germany, it will be on SWRinfo, and while the match isn’t being shown online in Portugal, you can find viewing options in other countries in the listings on LiveSoccerTV.
