Liverpool’s late comeback win over Stoke City last weekend ensured Jürgen Klopp’s side remain prominent in the race for Champions League football. They head into Sunday’s match away at West Bromwich Albion up in third place, though with both Manchester clubs breathing down their neck, they can’t ease up just yet. Things could well go right down to the wire.

However, this is arguably the best time to have played West Brom all season. After a remarkably strong first half of the campaign, Tony Pulis’ side have hit a snag in recent weeks. They’ve won just one of their last six, and have hit the back of the net only once since February. It’s never easy to play a Pulis team, but Liverpool will be optimistic of coming away with all three points.

That said, West Bromwich Albion are lucky to have a full-strength team available for this one. The same can’t be said for Liverpool: they’re without Danny Ings, Adam Lallana, Jordan Henderson, and Sadio Mané, who are all currently on the treatment table. The latter, who has arguably been the Reds’ top player this season, is set to miss the remainder of the campaign with a knee injury.
