One of the biggest editions of the Manchester Derby in recent memory will take place on a bit of a strange day. Manchester United will make the short trip down the road to face Manchester City in the Premier League on Thursday.

Both of these teams are out of the title race, but are still in a serious battle for a spot in the top four. City is currently in the better position, but not by much. They sit in fourth place on 64 points, while Manchester United is one point behind. They’re both locked in a tight contest with Liverpool — on 66 points, but with two more games played — and Arsenal, who are close behind.

City won the first meeting between these teams at Old Trafford in September. Zlatan Ibrahimovic got on the board, but Kevin De Bruyne and Kelechi Iheanachi scored the decisive goals for the Citizens.

The injury bug has bit Manchester United hard. Ibrahimovic, Marcos Rojo, and Juan Mata have all been confirmed out for the rest of the season. Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, and Paul Pogba also have minor injuries. Manchester City have a few players carrying minor knocks and fitness concerns after going 120 minutes in the FA Cup semifinals, but no serious concerns.
