The North London derby is always a hotly contested fixture, but Sunday’s edition could be even more intense than usual. Hosts Tottenham Hotspur will be gunning to close the gap on league leaders Chelsea, which stands at four points heading into the weekend. Anything other than a win could prove terminal for their hopes of lifting the Premier League trophy.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are looking to revive their hopes of Champions League qualification. Arsène Wenger’s side head into the weekend down in sixth place, five points adrift of the top four — albeit still with a game in hand on the Manchester clubs above them. A win over Spurs would ensure they’re still in contention for a late surge up the table. It’s not a game to be missed.

Tottenham Hotspur will be without Erik Lamela, Harry Winks, Michel Vorm, and Cameron Carter-Vickers, who are all out injured. Mousa Dembélé and Danny Rose will have to pass late fitness tests if they’re to play. For their part, Arsenal will be without Santi Cazorla and Jeff Reine-Adelaide, who are both currently on the treatment table; Laurent Koscielny and Shkodran Mustafi are both in doubt.
