Arsenal’s draw at home to Manchester City on the weekend did little to ease the pressure currently on the shoulders of long-serving manager Arsène Wenger. The Gunners head into the midweek fixtures down in sixth place, and they look likely to miss out on Champions League football for the first time in two decades. They can’t afford any more slips in their pursuit and host West Ham at the Emirates on Wednesday.

The Gunners may well be confident of a result, with West Ham having also struggled through much of the season so far. Manager Slaven Bilić‘s job has been consistently called into question, and four straight defeats have seen his side slip within six points of the relegation zone. Though their squad is certainly more capable than their league position suggests, they could well struggle at Arsenal.

Arsenal will still be without Petr Čech, Santi Cazorla and Lucas Pérez; Laurent Koscielny, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Aaron Ramsey all face late fitness tests. On the treatment table at West Ham United are Angelo Ogbonna, Diafra Sakho, Pedro Obiang and Winston Reid, while Michail Antonio and Aaron Cresswell are all early doubts.
