Two of the top four teams in the Premier League go toe-to-toe Wednesday in a major clash at Stamford Bridge, with Chelsea hosting Manchester City in a match as important to their managers’ confidence as their point totals in the standings.

Antonio Conte and Pep Guardiola have been arguably the two best managers in Europe over the last six years or so, but only one of them can win the Premier League title this season. Right now it’s Conte who is positioned to earn that particular accolade, but Guardiola isn’t going to let his rival slip away that easily — he has an opportunity to get a huge upset win on the road and try to slow down Chelsea’s title run, and you know he’s going to pour every ounce of game-planning effort and team inspiration into this match to get the result he so desperately wants.

Both of these teams are actually healthy considering the point of the season we’re in. Chelsea only have one injury doubt, with Victor Moses nursing a toe injury, and that’s not even a crucial problem for them to face with their depth on the wings. Manchester City do have an important trio of players out, with Bacary Sagna and Gabriel Jesus likely out several more weeks and Ilkay Gundogan out for the season, but they can find ways to function without them.
