Monaco vs. Juventus 2017: Start time, TV schedule for Champions League semifinal

Monaco host Juventus in the first leg of their Champions League semifinal on Wednesday.

Monaco host Juventus in the first leg of the second Champions League semifinal on Wednesday, with Leonardo Jardim’s thrilling young whippersnappers going head-to-head with Massimiliano Allegri’s abundantly experienced unit. It promises to be a thoroughly entertaining clash of styles, with Monaco having so far favored a gung-ho attacking approach, and Juve a rather more regimented strategy.

Juve certainly head in as favorites, with Allegri’s side having the perfect blend of youth and experience, and a smattering of established world-class talent across the field. They made the final of this tournament only a couple of seasons ago, and have reason to feel that this represents an even better chance for them to claim the trophy. However, they underestimate a fearless young Monaco side at their peril — wins over Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund are certainly not to be sniffed at.

Monaco will still be without Gabriel Boschilia, Guido Carrillo, and Djibril Sidibé, who are currently on the treatment table. Tiemoué Bakayoko and Almamy Touré will both have to pass late fitness tests if they’re to play. Juventus’ only certain absentees are Marko Pjaca and Sami Khedira, who are injured and suspended, respectively; Daniele Rugani is doubtful after skipping the draw against Atalanta over the weekend.
