Dani Alves scores spectacular volley as Juventus head for Champions League final

The Brazilian has stolen the show in Turin.

Dani Alves is 34 years of age, but you’d never know it. The Juventus wing-back has been magnificent in Juventus’ Champions League semifinal tie against Monaco, laying on the assist for three goals before adding a fourth in spectacular style. The former Barcelona man caught a perfect volley on the edge of the box, with the ball whistling past goalkeeper Danijel Subašić and into the back of the net.

It remains 2-0 to the Italian side on the night — and 4-0 on aggregate — after Mario Mandžukic opened the scoring for the Bianconeri. Monaco started the second leg brightly, though their early enthusiasm quickly waned, and Juve have looked fairly comfortable ever since the Croatian’s opener. It would take one of the greatest comebacks of all time for the Ligue 1 outfit to progress from here.

Those in the United Kingdom can catch Alves’ sweet strike over on BT Sport’s Twitter.
