Scotland play host to their old rivals England in Saturday’s World Cup qualifier at Hampden Park. Gordon Strachan’s side have won just two of their opening five qualifiers, and find themselves two points adrift of second-placed Slovakia. They need to improve over the second half of their qualifying campaign if they’re to stand any chance of making it to Russia.

The two old rivals clash in Glasgow on Saturday.

England, meanwhile, find themselves in a very healthy position at the top of the group. They’re four points clear of second-placed Slovakia, and are still unbeaten in competitive matches since Gareth Southgate took charge. He’ll be looking to maintain that impressive run here.
Scotland could be without full-back Kieran Tierney, who sustained a facial injury in Celtic’s win over Aberdeen in the final of the Scottish Cup last month. England’s only absentee is Jamie Vardy, with the Leicester City striker having withdrawn from the squad with injury.
