Two teams were quietly excellent in the group stage of the CONCACAF Gold Cup while North America’s attention was on other teams, but now they’re going to have the full spotlight. Costa Rica and Panama are squaring off in the quarterfinals, and with the stakes high they should be ready to put on a heck of a show.

Costa Rica won group A with an undefeated record, beating Honduras and French Guiana and battling an impressive Canada side to a standstill. Panama finished second in group B behind the United States, drawing with the USMNT and beating down both Martinique and Nicaragua. Both teams arguably played better on the whole during the group stage than CONCACAF titans Mexico and the USMNT, and now they’ll get a chance to show off just how good they can be. It’s almost a shame that only one of them can make the semifinals.

To watch this match online in the United States, you can stream it on the Fox Soccer Match Pass subscription service, or for free on Fox Sports Go with some internet providers. It won’t be shown online in Costa Rica or Panama, but for viewing options in other countries you can check out the listings at LiveSoccerTV.
