Things didn’t exactly go according to plan for Tottenham Hotspur or Paris Saint-Germain last season. Though Spurs did well to finish second in the Premier League, they fell out of the title race early and didn’t make it out of the Champions League group stage. PSG also disappointed, finishing behind Monaco in Ligue 1 and collapsing against Barcelona in the Champions League. Both start their preparations for hopefully better seasons on Saturday.
PSG vs. Tottenham 2017 live stream: Start time, TV channel, and how to watch International Champions Cup online
Two teams coming off slightly disappointing campaigns will be expecting more this year.

The biggest news in Paris right now is a player who doesn’t even play for PSG. They’re rumored to be chasing Neymar, though a deal is far from done. A year after Zlatan Ibrahimovic departed, PSG is now on the lookout for a new megastar.
Spurs have been the least active English team in the transfer market, though they have made a notable sale — Kyle Walker was shipped to Manchester City for £50 million plus incentives. How they’re going to reinvest that money is anyone’s guess. For now, Tottenham will use the International Champions Cup to evaluate some of their youngsters and backups.
PSG summer signing to watch: Dani Alves
Another marquee signing is likely to arrive before the window shuts, but for now, PSG fans will have to settle for Dani Alves. Barcelona thought the Brazilian was past his prime when they let him go, but Alves was one of the best players in the world last season, setting up goals with regularity for Juventus.
Fun Tottenham player to watch: Josh Onomah
Spurs haven’t made any signings this summer, with Mauricio Pochettino saying that he trusts his academy. One of his team’s academy products is Josh Onomah, who was impressive for England Under-21s this summer. He’s trying to win more time with the first team, and he should get chances to impress in preseason.
Compared to other friendlies, is this worth my time?
Given that neither of these teams has gotten going in their preseason or the transfer market, there’s a lot less of interest here than there is in other preseason friendly matches, to be completely honest. 2/10.
