Qualifying for the 2018 World Cup hasn’t exactly gone to plan for two high-profile teams in South America, with both Argentina and Uruguay teetering on the bottom of the qualifying places in CONMEBOL. Now with both clubs set to face each other in Montevideo, the must-win mentality both clubs will bring should give a close-fought match.
Uruguay vs. Argentina live stream: Time, TV channel, and how to watch 2018 World Cup qualifier online
Both Argentina and Uruguay are in dire need of a World Cup qualifying win.

Uruguay have lost five straight international matches, including their last three qualifiers. They’re in third place in the qualifying group, which sounds good — until you look at the table and see that they’re just two points from being out of the qualifying places entirely.
Argentina’s form is slightly better, winning two of their last three qualifiers and four of five overall, but that loss was an egg-on-face moment against lowly Bolivia that put Argentina into fifth place, which would see them have to win a playoff match to get into the World Cup.
Suffice it to say that neither team is happy with their standing, with no safety or surety in any way. Neither Uruguay nor Argentina have any room for error with just four qualifying matches left, so they should leave the gloves off as they go at each other in search of three points.
