Real Madrid were handed a straightforward draw in the Copa del Rey round of 16, and coming into the second and final leg of that tie, things have gone exactly to plan. Matched up against Segunda Division side Numancia, Madrid pounced early and often to give themselves a 3-0 lead coming back home to the Santiago Bernabeu to finish the tie off.
Real Madrid vs. Numancia live stream: Time, TV schedule, and how to watch Copa del Rey online
It’s time for Real Madrid to finish off their Segunda Division opponents in the Copa del Rey.

The first leg took awhile for Real Madrid to take full control of, but there was little doubt of the final result after Gareth Bale scored in the first half. Their second and third goals may have taken until the waning moments of the match when Numancia had been playing with ten men for nearly half an hour, but more goals were always coming, and thanks to Isco and Borja Mayoral, they did.
There’s little reason to think that Numancia will come back in this tie at the Bernabeu, though with Real Madrid likely to rotate and give more minutes to some of their less-used players, they could make something of it. But those same Real Madrid players will be fighting tooth and nail to prove that they can be a bigger part of the squad, so they’re going to give no quarter to their second-division foes.
