These are the Champions League games you should watch

Some favored teams struggled in the first round of Champions League games last month, and have now been put in the unenviable position of needing a big result from the second round.

One team that didn’t have much room for error was Tottenham Hotspur, who fell apart in the final minutes of a loss to Inter Milan. They really need to avoid defeat at home against Barcelona in what could be the best game of the week.

Manchester City, AS Monaco, and Napoli also disappointed in the first round of games. They now face big matches against Hoffenheim, Borussia Dortmund, and Liverpool, respectively.

But the game we recommend the most is a faceoff between two teams that won their openers. Ajax has been playing with hyper-aggressive defenders who aren’t afraid to dribble past multiple players, well over midfield. Are they willing to keep that style against Bayern Munich?

A good slate, though potentially the best game is buried on Galavision. If you like storylines more than soccer, the Manchester United game is the one for you, as Jose Mourinho inches closer to getting fired.

Strangely, two of the best games are not on TV and are only available online. Such is the drawing power of PSV’s Chucky Lozano. It’s a shame there aren’t more timeslots, a lot of these games are worth watching.

The Europa League draw has not yet blessed us with any must-watch games. The good stuff comes in Round 3. Milan-Olympiacos should be a decent game, though.

Spartak-Villarreal is a big game after both surprisingly dropped points in their opening matches. I can’t recommend you watch Rangers-Rapid Vienna over that, but it is potentially high stakes, and there should be a good crowd at Ajax. And Eintracht-Lazio is a rare meeting between big league clubs at this stage, so it’s potentially worth your time.
