Mexico turned in another impressive performance on Saturday, defeating South Korea 2-1 to follow up on its huge upset win over Germany in the first game. El Tri hasn’t qualified for the Round of 16 yet, but they are still in the driver’s seat in Group F.

After a busy Saturday in Group F, the standings look like this.

Mexico — 6 points, +2 GD
Germany — 3 points, 0 GD
Sweden — 3 points, 0 GD
South Korea — 0 points, -2 GD

On the final day of Group F play, Mexico faces Sweden and Germany faces South Korea. Mexico controls its own destiny and seals a spot with a win or a draw. Thanks to holding the current group lead in goal differential, Mexico can even advance with a loss, depending on the final scores of the matches.

South Korea vs. Germany — Wednesday, June 27, 10 a.m.

Mexico vs. Sweden — Wednesday, June 27, 10 a.m.

In the event that the group ends with teams even on both points and goal differential, it goes to all the other tiebreakers, which you can read about in our handy tiebreaker guide.
