NFL odds 2018, Week 6: Betting trends and analysis for the top games of the week
The Bengals host the Steelers as betting favorites in a key AFC North battle in this week’s NFL action, while the Chiefs get a tough test against the Patriots.

Cincinnati is a 2.5-point home favorite on the NFL Week 6 odds over Pittsburgh at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. With a 4-1 SU and ATS start to the season, the Bengals are currently in sole possession of first place in the AFC North. A win over the 2-2-1 SU Steelers would give the Bengals a nice cushion over the defending AFC North champions.
Pittsburgh is 16-2 SU and 13-3-2 ATS in its last 18 road games against Cincinnati, according to the OddsShark NFL Database.
Rivaling Pittsburgh at Cincinnati for the biggest game this week is the Sunday Night Football showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and the New England Patriots (-3.5) at New England. The Chiefs’ undefeated run will be put to the ultimate test on Sunday against the Patriots as Kansas City is just 1-6 SU in its last seven road trips to New England. The Patriots are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games played at night.
The other prime time games this week are the San Francisco 49ers at Green Bay Packers (-9.5) on Monday Night Football and the Philadelphia Eagles (-3) at New York Giants on Thursday Night Football. The defending champion Eagles are off to a disappointing 2-3 SU and 1-4 ATS start.
The Dallas Cowboys are also off to a 2-3 SU start, but thanks to Philadelphia’s struggles the NFC East is still wide open for the taking. The Cowboys will try to bounce back from an overtime loss to Houston last week as 3-point home underdogs hosting the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. Dallas is 0-5 SU and ATS in its last five games played in the late afternoon.
The Los Angeles Rams entered the fourth quarter against the Seattle Seahawks trailing 31-24 on the road last Sunday, but the team emerged victorious with a 33-31 win to improve to 5-0 SU on the season. The Rams hope to remain undefeated Sunday as 7-point road favorites against the Denver Broncos. The home team is 8-1 SU and 7-2 ATS in the last nine games between Los Angeles and Denver.
