The New Orleans Saints are just 2-4 straight up and against the spread in their last six games as a home favorite of three points or less. The Saints will try to get the job done as a small favorite this Sunday when they host the undefeated Los Angeles Rams.
NFL odds 2018, Week 9: Betting trends and analysis for the top games
The top two teams in the NFC collide when the Los Angeles Rams visit the New Orleans Saints in a tight betting matchup to highlight the Week 9 odds slate.

New Orleans is a 2-point home favorite on Sunday at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. Since losing their season opener, the Saints have gone 6-0 SU and 5-1 ATS over their last six games. Los Angeles has hit an ATS slump of late with a 1-3-1 ATS record over its last five games, but the Rams keep finding ways to win as they are a perfect 8-0 SU on the season. The winner of this game will control its own destiny for the top spot in the NFC.
In another marquee matchup, Tom Brady and the New England Patriots (-5.5) will host Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers in a clash between two of the game’s elite quarterbacks on Sunday Night Football. New England enters this game on a 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS roll while the Packers are 3-3-1 SU and 3-4 ATS in 2018. The home team has won seven of the last 10 matchups between these two teams.
The other two night games this week will be less enticing as the Tennessee Titans visit the Dallas Cowboys (-6.5) on Monday Night Football and two 1-7 SU teams meet in a pathetic matchup of the Oakland Raiders at San Francisco 49ers (-3) on Thursday night.
Only one game separates the first place Minnesota Vikings at 4-3 SU from the last place Detroit Lions at 3-4 SU in the wide open NFC North. Those two teams will meet this Sunday as the Vikings are a 4.5-point favorite against the Lions. In their last nine games the week before heading into a bye week, the Vikings are 8-1 SU and 9-0 ATS.
The Baltimore Ravens (-3) host the Pittsburgh Steelers in another important divisional matchup this Sunday afternoon. Pittsburgh is 8-0-1 SU and 6-3 ATS in its last nine games on the road, according to the OddsShark NFL Database. Baltimore is 5-1 ATS in its last six games against Pittsburgh but only 1-3 SU in its last four.
