After coming within one game of defeating the Warriors in the Western Conference Finals last season and advancing to the NBA Finals, Houston entered the 2018-19 season with high hopes and expectations.

The team stumbled out of the gate however to a 1-5 SU and ATS start before getting back on track with a 5-2 SU and 4-3 ATS run over its last seven games. An offseason acquisition of Carmelo Anthony turned out to be a disaster as the veteran forward has left the team after just 10 games in a Rockets uniform.

Golden State owns the best record in the Western Conference at 12-3 SU and 8-7 ATS, but there is trouble in paradise. Green returns in this game and fans hope to see the two Warriors stars back on the same page with no ill will.

Coming into the 2018-19 season, it seemed like a foregone conclusion that Golden State and Houston would once again be the top two teams in the Western Conference and would likely meet again in the conference finals. That may still be the case, but the early drama that the two clubs have dealt with make this matchup and the rest of the regular season a lot more interesting.
