Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys were held in check on offense for most of the day last Sunday on the road against the Carolina Panthers, failing to score in the first three quarters of the game and ending the day with just eight points and 232 total yards.

Dallas ended the 2017 season on a 4-1 SU and 3-1-1 ATS run, but the momentum of that finish does not seem to have carried over as the Cowboys went 0-4 SU and 1-3 ATS during the preseason and limped out of the gate against Carolina.

This head-to-head rivalry has been tilted in Dallas’ direction over the last five years. The Cowboys are 7-3 SU and 5-4-1 ATS in their last 10 games against the Giants per the OddsShark NFL Database.

New York Giants

Saquon Barkley rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown in his NFL debut, but it wasn’t enough to help the Giants who fell 20-15 to the Jacksonville Jaguars at home. With the loss, the Giants fell to 3-15 SU and 7-11 ATS over their last 18 games.

New York safety Landon Collins threw down the gauntlet this week in the media saying that the Giants were going to load up the box to stop Ezekiel Elliott and would force Dak Prescott to beat them. New York is 2-9 SU and 3-7-1 ATS in its last 11 divisional road games.

Sunday night’s total is set at 42.5 points. The UNDER is 5-0 in Dallas’ last five games, 7-1 in New York’s last eight and 4-0 in the last four between these two teams.

Since 2007, only 11% of the teams that have started the season off 0-2 SU have gone on to make the postseason. With both the Giants and Cowboys entering this game at 0-1, only the winner will be able to avoid the 0-2 fate in 2018.
