Oklahoma City Thunder Notes
The Thunder were one of the league’s hottest teams in late January and early February, stringing together an impressive 11-1 SU and 10-2 ATS record over a recent 12-game stretch. But over the team’s last four games, Oklahoma City is just 1-3 SU and 0-4 ATS including losses as a favorite in New Orleans and at home against Sacramento.
Paul George is averaging 35 points in the month of February with four games of over 40 points while Russell Westbrook has scored at least 40 in two of the team’s last three games.
In their last seven games against Eastern Conference opponents, the Thunder are 6-1 SU and ATS per the OddsShark NBA Database.
Philadelphia 76ers Notes
Joel Embiid will be sidelined for a fourth straight game on Thursday with knee tendinitis. Backup center Boban Marjanovic will also miss this game with a knee injury, which will force rookie Jonah Bolden into action against Oklahoma City’s all-star center Steven Adams.
Philadelphia has managed to go 2-1 SU in Embiid’s absence but went 0-3 ATS over that stretch. Tobias Harris has helped pick up the slack with Embiid out, leading the team in scoring in two games and in rebounds in the other.
76ers at Thunder Betting Total
Thursday night’s total is set at 239 points at betting sites. The UNDER is 8-3-1 in the last 12 games between these two teams.
With March right around the corner, both of these teams are trying to hold on to their spots in the top four of their respective conferences to lock up home court advantage in the first round of the playoffs. While this matchup would have been a lot better with a healthy Joel Embiid, it should still be an interesting one between two teams that are capable of doing damage this postseason.
