The last two months have been quite streaky for the Spurs, who went 5-0 SU at the end of January, 1-7 SU and ATS at the beginning of February and then 9-0 SU and 8-1 ATS through the first half of March.
This latest win streak has helped the Spurs to take a strong lead over the ninth place Sacramento Kings for a spot in the playoffs, but the Western Conference is still quite hazy with the Spurs, Oklahoma City Thunder, Utah Jazz, and Los Angeles Clippers all entering Friday with identical 42-30 SU records.

Houston comes into Friday trailing the Golden State Warriors and Denver Nuggets in first and second place in the West, up 0.5 games on the Portland Trail Blazers in fourth and three games ahead of the pack listed above.
The Rockets picked up a disappointing 126-125 road loss to Memphis on Wednesday, but have overall been playing at a high level of late with a 12-2 SU and 7-6-1 ATS record over their last 14 games. Houston is 7-1 SU and 4-4 ATS in its last eight home games.

If the playoffs were to start today, the Rockets and Spurs would meet in the first round. There is still plenty of time for the conference to get shaken up down the stretch, but regardless of how things play out this should be a fun matchup between two of the hottest teams in the West.
