After holding the nation’s top scoring offense in Gonzaga 20 points below its season average in a 75-69 win in the Elite Eight, Texas Tech was once again brilliant on defense in holding Michigan State to just 51 points in a 61-51 win on Saturday.
That win snapped a 9-0 SU and 7-2 ATS run for the Spartans and added another high-profile win to Texas Tech’s incredible run through this year’s NCAA Tournament.
Texas Tech entered the tournament playing well, too. Over their last 15 games overall, the Red Raiders are 14-1 SU and 13-2 ATS per the OddsShark College Basketball Database.
Virginia Cavaliers Notes
Up 10 with five minutes to go in their Final Four matchup against Auburn on Saturday, it looked as though Virginia might finally be putting an end to its recent stretch of dramatic finishes. Instead, Auburn went on a 14-0 run to take a four-point lead with 17 seconds left, setting the stage for Virginia’s most dramatic finish yet.
Kyle Guy etched his name into Cavaliers lore down the stretch, first hitting a three-pointer with nine seconds left and then hitting three free throws to secure his team’s 63-62 win. Virginia enters the championship game with a 34-3 SU and 25-12 ATS record.

Monday night’s total is set at 118 points on the college basketball betting lines. The UNDER is 4-1 for both of these two teams in the tournament.
The defense wins championships adage doesn’t always play out, but it certainly has this year.
