Liverpool has reached the Champions League Final eight times in its storied club history and won the title in five of those trips. The English club will try to earn a sixth Champions League title on Saturday when it takes on a familiar foe in fellow EPL club Tottenham Hotspur in this year’s final.

Liverpool is a -115 betting favorite to win the Champions League Final in regulation. Tottenham would pay +325 on a regulation upset and a regulation draw forcing extra time would pay +255. To lift the cup with a win in any fashion, Liverpool is a -200 favorite over Tottenham at +165.
Only one single point separated first place Manchester City from second place Liverpool on the EPL table this season. Liverpool had only one loss all year in one of the greatest seasons in league history going 30-7-1 over 38 games. After being nudged out of the Premier League championship, Liverpool should be plenty driven to avoid more heartbreak with a win in this title game. The team’s desire was on full display when it erased an 0-3 deficit against Barcelona with a 4-0 win at home in the second leg of the semi-final to advance into this match. In its last 14 matches against Tottenham, Liverpool holds a 9-4-1 edge.
With Harry Kane on the sidelines due to injury, Tottenham has struggled with a 2-1-4 record over its last seven matches. Fortunately for its supporters, Tottenham was able to break out of its scoring slump in a 3-2 comeback road win over Ajax. All eyes will be on Kane in Saturday’s final; the superstar striker says that he is fit to go, but the club will have to determine whether Champions League glory is worth the risk of rushing Kane back too soon and potentially making his injury worse.
Saturday’s total is set at 2.5 goals at online sports betting sites. The OVER is 4-1 in Liverpool’s last five games.
It’s going to be hard to pick against Liverpool in this one. Kane’s potential return to the pitch makes the final a lot more interesting, but Liverpool’s superior lineup top to bottom will make this a tough obstacle for Tottenham to overcome.
