Dustin Johnson won the RBC Canadian Open by three strokes in 2018 with a dominant 23-under-par performance. Johnson will try to follow up that victory with another one this week at the Hamilton Golf & Country Club.
Dustin Johnson atop betting lines at the Canadian Open
Dustin Johnson is the betting favorite over Brooks Koepka on the odds to win the RBC Canadian Open at sportsbooks for the second straight year.

The defending champion is a +600 betting favorite to win in Ancaster at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. Before winning the Canadian Open last year, Johnson finished tied for eighth in 2017 and tied for second in 2016.
The course change from Glen Abbey to Hamilton could have an effect, but Johnson’s recent history and comfort in this event should carry over to the new course. Johnson has finished in the top six in five of his last seven tournament appearances including a win at the WGC Mexico Championship and runner-up finishes in the Masters and the PGA Championship.
Right behind Johnson at betting sites is Brooks Koepka at +650 to win the RBC Canadian Open. Koepka has four top four finishes in his last seven tournaments including runner-up finishes in the Honda Classic and the Masters and a victory in the PGA Championship. This will be Koepka’s first tournament appearance since that PGA Championship win.
Rory McIlroy (+800 to win the Canadian Open) had finished in the top 10 of nine of his previous 10 tournaments before missing the cut in the Memorial Tournament last weekend. McIlroy will try to bounce back with a strong showing in the Canadian Open to fine-tune his game before this month’s U.S. Open.
Matt Kuchar (+2200) also missed the cut in the Memorial Tournament, but that could be a good thing for his backers this weekend as the 40-year-old hasn’t missed consecutive cuts in eight years. Kuchar is currently the top player in the FedExCup standings with two wins and two runner-up finishes this season.
Other potential contenders on the golf odds for this week include Justin Thomas (+1600), Webb Simpson (+2200), Sergio Garcia (+2800), Scott Piercy (+3300), Bubba Watson (+3300), Henrik Stenson (+3300), Brandt Snedeker (+4000) and Shane Lowry (+4000). Thomas has finished outside of the top 10 in each of his last five tournament appearances since earning three straight top ten finishes before this slump. Snedeker won this event in 2013.
