Wimbledon Live Scores: Novak Djokovic Advances To Semis In Four Sets

Bernard Tomic, a wildly talented 18-year-old Australian qualifier, made things difficult on Novak Djokovic in his 2011 Wimbledon quarterfinal matchup Wednesday, but the two-seed upped his game and won in the end, 6-2 3-6 6-3 7-5.

Tomic was extremely impressive in winning the second set and managed not to get blown out in any of the sets he lost. The fourth set stayed on serve for the first 10 games, and Tomic looked like a player who could get by Djokovic in the set and push it to a fifth. However, Djokovic upped his game in the 11th game of the set, breaking Tomic in impressive fashion, then winning his final service game to win the last set 7-5, taking the match.

He now waits for his semifinal matchup, which will be the winner of the match between Roger Federer and Jo-Wilfred Tsonga. The big Frenchman leads Federer by a break in the fifth set at the time of this posting.
