Andy Murray fell behind early, dropping the first two sets of his second-round matchup with Robin Haase during US Open action on Friday. After losing the first set in a tiebreak, 7-6 (7-5), Murray put up nary a fight in the second as Haase won the set, 6-2. It looked bleak for the American.

But Murray bounced back, coming alive in the third to capture a 6-2 set of his own. Finally hitting his stride, Murray pitched a shutout in the fourth, sending the match to a decisive set with a 6-0 win. It was as if he woke up from a slumber, realized he was in the US Open, and starting playing like it.
In the fifth, there was little in the way of drama. Murray downed Haase, 6-4, coming all the way back from a two-set disadvantage to take the match in five, 6-7 (5-7), 2-6, 6-2, 6-0, 6-4. With the win, Murray heads to the third round, avoiding a potentially embarrassing upset along the way.
