Rafael Nadal has been a highly ranked tennis player, a rich man and a master of clay courts for quite some time. He is now a richer man, a man who won’t be losing any ground in the world rankings, and he has another massive addition to his clay court resume. The Spaniard won the 2012 Monte Carlo Masters on Sunday, defeating Novak Djokovic in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1. It’s his record eighth consecutive win in the tournament, and he’ll take home €460,260 for his efforts. That’s just over $607,000. Djokovic earned €225,680, or about $298,000 for his efforts.

The top-ranked doubles team in the world, Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan, defeated No. 2 ranked Max Mirinyi and Daniel Nestor to take the doubles title. It’s their second ever win at the event. Both Nestor and Mirinyi had won the event twice previously, but with different partners. The Bryans take home €142,500, or about $188,000. Mirinyi and Nestor won €69,780, or around $92,000.
