Wimbledon Scores 2012: Andy Murray Advances To Semis In 4 Sets Over David Ferrer
Wednesday’s match featured two technically-sound players at their absolute best. Both had plenty of chances to take control of the match with break point opportunities, but Ferrer went just 2-for-12 and Murray went 3-for-9 for the match.
A 27-minute rain delay at 5-5 in the fourth set seemed to favor Ferrer at the time. Momentum appeared to be slowly tilting in favor of the Brit. In the end, Murray’s bit of extra strength over the 5’9 Ferrer prevailed. Murray served 18 aces to six, and 61 winners to 44 for his opponent.
