Winston-Salem Open Tennis 2012: John Isner, Andy Roddick Highlight Field
The 2012 Winston-Salem Open gets underway with qualifying Saturday. John Isner, Andy Roddick and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga highlight the main draw.

Tsonga will be Isner’s biggest impediment to winning back-to-back title. The charismatic Frenchman, like Isner, made it to the quarterfinals at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London before bowing out of the competition. Tsonga lost to world No. 2 Novak Djokovic while Isner lost to No. 1 Roger Federer. Both lost in straight sets.
World No. 21 Alexandr Dolgopolov from Ukraine will be another interesting player to watch. The 22-year-old is known for big serves and daring shots, and will do his best to throw a wrench into the proceedings.
Television coverage begins Thursday. ESPN2 and the Tennis Channel will host coverage of the quarterfinals and semifinals, with CBS airing the final next Saturday beginning at 12:30 p.m. ET. You can learn more at the tournament’s official site.
