U.S. Open 2012: Andy Murray Vs. Tomas Berdych Underway After Rain Delay

The men’s singles semifinal at the 2012 U.S. Open is underway after a brief rain delay, with third-seeded Andy Murray taking on No. 6 seed Tomas Berdych. That match will be followed by the other semifinal match, No. 2 Novak Djokovic facing off with fourth-seeded David Ferrer. The forecast for Arthur Ashe Stadium in Flushing, NY isn’t encouraging, however, with scattered thunderstorms forecast throughout the afternoon and into the evening.

Also featured on Saturday, assuming acceptable weather, is the women’s singles championship match. Fourth-seeded Serena Williams, who is looking for her fourth U.S. Open title and has yet to lose a set in this year’s edition, will take on No. 1 Victoria Azarenka.
