Day 5 of the Australian Open will finish when Venus Williams plays Maria Sharapova in the third round of the women’s singles bracket.

The match is the highlight of the day on the women’s side. Between them, the duo owns 11 Grand Slam titles; Williams has seven, while Sharapova has four. Sharapova heads in as the favorite, as she’s the No. 2 seed. Williams is the No. 25 seed.
That match is set for 7 p.m. local time.
While Sharapova has to deal with Williams, top seed Victoria Azarenka will face Jamie Hampton of the USA. The winner of that match will play either Elena Vesnina or Roberta Vinci.
In what should be another tight match, No. 11 Marion Bartoli will face No. 19 Ekaterina Makarova. That match will start at 11 a.m. at Margaret Court Arena.
In women’s doubles, top-seeded Italian duo Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci will play Jill Craybas and Chanelle Scheepers at 11 a.m.
