Australian Open 2013 results: Williams and Azarenka advance

It looks like Serena Williams has shaken off whatever ankle injury she has as she advanced to the fourth round of the Australian Open.

Serena Williams ankle injury isn’t slowing her down as she pushed past Ayumi Morita and top seeded Victoria Azarenka won on Saturday of the Australian Open.

The No. 3 seeded Williams suffered an ankle injury in the first round but it doesn’t look like it is affecting her much anymore. Williams got off to a fast start and didn’t look back, winning in two sets 6-1, 6-3.

The top ranked Azarenka struggled a bit more against Jamie Hampton. Azarenka won the first set 6-4, but Hampton came back to tie it 1-1 after winning the second set 6-4. Azarenka struggled with her serve a bit, double faulting six times.

On the men’s side, No. 3 seed Andy Murray currently leads Ricardas Berankis 5-2 in the first set. No. 6 seed Juan Martin Del Petro leads Jeremy Chardy 6-3,6-3 and is tied 5-5 in the third set.

No. 2 seed Roger Federer takes on Bernard Tomic later today.
