2013 Australian Open bracket update: Serena Williams cruises in 4th round
Serena Williams advanced to the quarterfinals of the Australian Open with ease. Here’s a look at her win, and what lies ahead for the No. 3 seed.

Williams ousted the No. 14 seed Maria Kirilenko 6-2, 6-0 in the fourth round. The Russian could not hang with Williams in a match that last just under an hour.
Serving was another huge weapon for Williams this time around. She also hit 22 winners and committed just six unforced errors throughout her impressive display. Through four matches Williams has only dropped six games. Needless to say she isn’t facing any trouble in search of her sixth Australian Open title.
Williams will now face off against a fellow American in the quarterfinals. Sloane Stephens, the No. 29 seed, awaits Williams after defeating Bojana Jovanovski 6-1, 3-6, 7-5. Stephens is just 19-years-old, and has already reached a personal best in her young Grand Slam career.
