Roger Federer and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga will go head-to-head Tuesday for a trip to the semifinals of the 2013 Australian Open.

Federer is the favorite as the No. 2 seed. Tsonga is the No. 7 seed.

The winner of the Federer-Tsonga match will advance to the semifinals to play either No. 3 Andy Murray or Jeremy Chardy of France. If Tsonga and Chardy win, it will be an all-France semifinal match.

In the other set of quarterfinal matches Monday, top-seeded Novak Djokovic defeated No. 5 Tomas Berdych in four sets. No. 4 David Ferrer stamped his ticket to the semis by beating Nicolas Almagro in five sets.

Men’s doubles action is also set to continue Tuesday. Top-seeded pair Bob and Mike Bryan will match up against Daniele Bracciali and Lukas Dlouhy. In the other quarterfinal match, Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah take on Simone Bolelli and Fabio Fognini.

No. 3 doubles team Marcel Granollers and Marc Lopez advanced to the semifinals with a win over Thomaz Bellucci and Benoit Paire Monday. They will face off against Robin Haase and Igor Sijsling, who knocked off No. 11 David Marrero and Fernando Verdasco Monday.
