As expected, the Czech Republic holds a 2-1 lead in the Davis Cup final heading into the final day at the Belgrade Arena in Belgrade, Serbia.. The Czech Republic is looking to win their second consecutive Davis Cup championship, needing at least one win over Serbia in the reverse singles matchups on Sunday.

Novak Djokovic got Serbia out to an early 1-0 lead before Tomas Berdych tied things up on Day 1 with a victory over Dusan Lajovic, who replaced Janko Tipsarevic. Things would have been much more interesting with Tipsarevic in the field, but he’s dealing with a chronic heel injury.
On Saturday, the doubles matchup was played, and the Czech Republic was victorious, as expected. Berdych and Radek Stepanek teamed up to take down Ilija Bozoljac and Nenad Zimonic, 6-2, 6-4, 7-6(4). Berdych and Stepanek are now 14-1 all-time in doubles play at the Davis Cup.
There was some question as to whether or not Djokovic, the No. 2 singles player in the world, would attempt to play in the doubles match to try and make things close, but asking him to play all three matches was a tall order. That and the fact that he’s primarily a singles player.
On Sunday, Djokovic will take on Berdych to try and even the score at 2-2. If Berdych isn’t able to pull off the upset -- and it would be an upset given Berdych’s 2-14 record against Djokovic -- then we’d go to the fifth and final match. That match is scheduled to pit Stepanek against Lajovic, but Serbia could sub in Bozoljac for that matchup.
Match play begins at 10 a.m. ET (4 p.m. local) with the Djokovic vs. Berdych match. If Stepank vs. Lajovic has to be played, it will begin at 1 p.m. (7 p.m. local). The matches will be on the Tennis Channel, so if you have that, you can watch all of the action.
