Novak Djokovic defeated Tomas Berdych 7-5, 6-3 to win the 2013 Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships and improve to a perfect 13-0 on the year. This is the fourth Dubai Championships title for Djokovic, with 2012 marking the only time in the last five years he failed to win the tournament.

Djokovic dominated throughout the tournament, not dropping a single set in Dubai. In the final, he fell down a break in the first set, but stormed back to get two breaks of his own and take the set 7-5. He took the only break of the second set to go up 5-3 and fought off a break point to close out Berdych 6-3. Djokovic has now beaten Berdych in 13 of their last 14 matches.

In the semifinals Berdych upset Roger Federer in a three-set classic, but he couldn’t stay with Djokovic on Saturday, who continues to cement his place as the world No. 1, having won 18 straight matches dating back to October.
