Serena Williams has always owned Miami. This year year is no different. The top-seeded Williams breezed through her semifinal match against Agnieszka Radwanska, winning 6-0, 6-3 to advance to the women’s singles final in the 2013 Sony Open.

With the win, Williams improved to a ridiculous 60-7 all-time at Key Biscayne. She could have an entire trophy case solely from this tournament, but her last win dates back to 2008. Will this be the year she finally adds to that collection again?
After double-faulting six times against Li Na in the quarterfinals, Williams honed in on her serve Thursday night. She kept Radwanska reeling and only faced a single break point the entire match.
Maria Sharapova dominated No. 22 seed Jelena Jankovic, 6-2, 6-1, in a match that barely lasted over an hour. Will this finally be her year to hoist the winner’s trophy at Crandon Park? Sharapova has reached the final match in Miami four times in the past, all four resulting in losses. She hasn’t dropped a set so far this year. A showdown with Williams is all that stands between breaking that losing streak now.
Second-seeded Andy Murray defeated No. 9 seed Marin Cilic, 6-4, 6-3, in a match that spanned longer than the final would lead you to believe. Through one hour and 42 minutes, Murray pushed Cilic to 18 break points and eventually wore him down, but the young Croatian dragged play out as long as he could.
Murray hasn’t dropped a set so far in Miami. He looks set on avenging his second-place finish from 2012.
Richard Gasquet knocked off No. 9 seed Tomas Berdych, 6-3, 6-3, making quick work of the 27-year-old Czech. We saw the opposite result between these two earlier this month at Indian Wells, so Gasquet already got his revenge. With two titles under his belt in 2013, he’ll face Murray in the semifinals.
