A 2012 French Open final rematch highlights the Friday semifinal slate.

Friday’s top billing goes to a rematch of the 2012 French Open men’s final, as No. 1 seed Novak Djokovic squares off against No. 2 Rafael Nadal at 7 a.m. In last year’s final, Nadal defeated Djokovic in four sets to take his third consecutive French Open title and seventh overall. Djokovic, who won the only other major tournament that’s been played in 2013 with his fourth Australian Open title, needs two more victories to complete the career Grand Slam.
Friday’s second semifinal finds No. 4 seed David Ferrer facing Frenchman and No. 6 seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga at 9:30 a.m. The 28-year old Tsonga has long been considered one of France’s best players, but his quarterfinal upset of No. 3 Roger Federer advanced him to the semifinals at Roland Garros for the first time. Tsonga is the first Frenchman in the French Open semifinal since Gael Monfils in 2008. Ferrer, on the other hand, is playing in his second consecutive French Open semifinal and his third straight semifinal in a Grand Slam tournament.
